Biodiversity is a key focus at the Servanes golf course, an exceptional site in the eart of the Alpilles. On a day-to-day basis, this means that we strive to adopt environmentally responsible practices and save water wherever we can.
The course team, led by our director and the Resonance Golf Collection group, is on a mission to reconcile environmental preservation with sporting and economic goals. The balance is a delicate, but crucial, one. Recent improvements to our irrigation control system resulted in water savings of 30%. We’ve dramatically reduced our use of phytosanitary products to protect the species present on and around the course, and we’re on track to eliminate them completely by 2025. The Servanes team uses natural and ecological solutions in caring for the plants and trees on and around the course, managing the green itself, and encouraging grass regrowth. We’re actively working towards the French Golf Federation’s Silver Biodiversity certification, which rewards excellence in preserving course biodiversity, protecting local flora and fauna, and raising environmental awareness among the golfing population.
Take time to breathe and relax in an oasis of authenticity. The Servanes golf course is a historic site where the hustle and bustle of daily life fades away, leaving you to immerse yourself fully in the present. With stunning landscapes, a top-notch course, and premium facilities, you’re free to focus on your swing.
Picture this: an 18-hole golf course set in forty acres of lush, authentic Alpilles countryside. Olive groves give way to cypress and pines, thyme and lavender, native shrubs, and wildflowers. There are birds singing, too: 80 different species make their homes here or stop off during their seasonal migrations, giving golfers a privileged glimpse of their varied plumage. Welcome to the Servanes golf course in Mouriès, in the heart of the Alpilles: a place where time stands still, and where nature is queen.
Servanes wouldn’t be as green and welcoming as it is without our teams’ tireless efforts to preserve the site and protect the flora and fauna which call it home. It takes serious dedication to step away from tried-and-tested, chemical-heavy maintenance approaches, but that’s what we’ve done in our quest for environmental excellence. Our GEO “Golf Environment Organisation” certification bears testament to our efforts.
